forum question??
ever since this forum has split all up into these new sections it seems dead and just not the same compared to how it was. where did all the old posters go anyway?
is there a rc nitro forum somewhere else that you all vanished to?
the only one that seems the same is the monster truck one.
maybe they will return it back to how it was for us ? then we can again look forward to dagass's sunday video post as well as seeing some serious activity again. then again it might just be me that notices the decline in regulars since the change.?
if anyone knows links to some good nitro forums besides these post them up.

RE: forum question??
nah, but they should call it touring car or something of that sort. I personally liked it more compact becuase it seemed more active that way. Hey, Ive been spending more time in the electric forum again lately, and hardly anybody posts there so :P lol

RE: forum question??
but was nice was the mix that it used to have.
it was great reading about my 1/8 scale but because there were ocasional post i would read about onroad cars i have now found myself owning an NTC3.
i might have never had that interest sparked otherwise because i might have never gone to an Onroad forum if i had just an 1/8 scale forum before.
so to me at least it did a great service being all together as one large nitro family and i would hate to not have rcuniverse be what it used to be for me.

RE: forum question??
Personally, I'm all for going back to the way it used to be. It seemed like everybody used to get together in one big meeting place and we just kind of did our thing. Now it seems as if everybody is all spread out and going their own way! The enthusiasm that used to be present seems to be gone [&o]. I guess this is the perfect example of "be careful of what you wish for"!

RE: forum question??
i agree 100% dagass, it seems as if there is just that whole bar talk atmosphere gone now. the livliness and fun which was spread between informitive post seems gone now.
what was nice was people who owned one type of car would give their opinions on other things as well even if it was a different class.

RE: forum question??
As we've seen in the past, our RCU hosts are good people and they seem to go out of their way to make their members happy. I would have to imagine that if we make enough nosie and maybe even throw in a "please", our Admins might look into the possibility of "bagging the 1/8 scale thread" and giving us our old "Nitro Powered RC Cars" thread back.
If so, I'll meet you all there for "Hot wings, a cold beer (root beer for our younger friends) and some good ol' fashioned RC talk". Sound like a plan?

RE: forum question??
maybe if anyone knows a mod we should send a link to this post or it might be overlooked? then again maybe we are the minority who feels a certain life to the forum has gone now.

RE: forum question??
As always - RCU wants to make this the best site possible and attempt to accomodate as many users as we can. Due to the enormous variety of people here, however, we will never be able to make everyone happy. At this time, I have receieved far more PMs indicating that this was a great idea, and 1 stating it isnt. As with all things new, some adjustment time is needed. I know that because its different, the older members may not like the way the new forums are set up. However, most people so far have agreed that it is being met with a resounding success. Not only that, but due to the extremely large size of this website, searching for information in smaller categories, has made alot of newbies much happier. Lets give this format a few months, and see how it progresses, agreed? We are still in the process of moving threads, and alot of members are still in the process of adjusting to the new format. Once again, as with all changes, it will take some getting used to, and some time for adjustment will be needed.

RE: forum question??
I like the newer setup myself. Perhaps, there should also be a special forum for those who insist on bashing particular brands no matter what they are as long as they are not their own, i.e. Savage v. The Universe/T-Maxx/EK4/Etc. Then perhaps, those who want help with a particular brand of vehicle wouldn't have to wade through the #()%$*#)^ to find an accurate and logical response.

Well said - I get tired of that.

Well
Are you sure you guys just arent facing "Change blues"?
Change can always make us a little insecure.
I'm sure Marc/Nathan wont have a problem with it but think long and hard
