It should be fairly simple. Pull the center diff out of the buggy and remove the screws that hold the spur gear to the diff case.

I think you have to open the diff up on the axis,but can't remember for sure.

thanks but now it looks like the person who owned it before stripped the screw any tips on getting ou a striped allen wrench screw

IF you have a dremel tool, use a cutting disk to slot the head and then use a flathead screwdriver.

You'll have drill a small hole in the head and use a screw extractor [link=http://www.arizonatools.com/catalog/browse/3012-3009/]Link_to_screw_extractors[/link] they are not cheap but they are very handy. (that said you may be able to pick up individual ones instead of a set from your local tool merchants).
