thanks there alex, yeah he is right i seem to have rounded two of the screws in the head so cant get the ******* off
i was running at a sweet 100 ºc I thought it sounded a little lean as there was no RINGA ADING (ALEX KNOWS WHAT I MEAN) and bit of a lack of smoke!

Well I can feel and hear when an engine is too lean, but I just use the temp guage in the case of a large change in ambient temperature, and just to see how hot my engine is when Im running right for future reference.
