hey, just a question , been lookin at some of these pics. could someone tell me what the purpose of the zip-ties on the engine is for. protection?

Yes the Zip ties are for protection, I drive my buggy on the road and that way if it flips over you dont grind your head down just the zip ties.

I'm confused......I was under the impression that the RC8 wouldn't be available until sometime later this year.

Perhaps, not to the general public. Richard Saxton was running the RC8 in prep for the 2007 Silver State Nitro Challenge which actually begins this week in Boulder City, Nevada. The photos were taken at the Silver Bowl track where Silver State used to be held.
