Get it! You will love it trust me. I also own one. Very durable and very race worthly. I do suggest you head over to www.servocity.com and buy your self a new steering servo though. Something in the range of 130+ Torque. Like the hitec 645mg. They have free shipping and handleing and they have the cheapest prices on servos.

I've heard lots of problems with the carb on it so might want to keep in mind of buying a new carb also.

Does Ace Hardware even have a hobby shop or hobby section? Or is it just a website?

My carb was fine. I think it's just hit or miss. Check out the os 20e carb(I think that's right lol)

dont get me wrong. it works if grahama 89 says it does. but all i can say is

what a mess!!! should you really have to do that to a £400 car. that should of been done right first time from the factory

yeah i totally agree with you. they should make the carb work or redesign it, or put a desent carb on there that works, like the os 20e carb.

You know it works. But yes the point is when you get a car you expect it to work. The H21 does for a while, then it seems to lean itself out and thats when the probs started. I have done this on about 20 engines now and not one of them has had a problem since. This may also benefit other carbs as even the most expensive can rattle screws loose.

I might just get the car, sell the engine and then get a OS .21 RG. That will be a lot easier and i heard they hold a tune really well. And they are faster than the hyper 8 port.

the Hyper is a great engine besides the stock carb... don't sell it for an O.S, the O.S is not near as fast!!! just buy a 20 E Carb... Makes the hyper extremly easy to tune!!

I understand where your coming from but don't agree. I usually take a new car completely apart and use loc-tite on everything myself. A lot of new cars sit on shelf to long or was never loc-tite from factory.

I'm not playing the devil's advocate here but are you sure teflon tape is not dangerous to the engine? I'd want to know that one for sure before I tried something like that with a $400 engine.
