I dont know much about either but the Kanai Series has a few years of being world champ being em...so thats always a plus
. You prolly cant beat em in quality...but you are right...the price is really high....so unless you are wicked rich or really dedicated to serious racing, the Kanai will get you just as far as any other buggy would.

ok the kanai can't be beat and i don't now how u can even compare it to the lightining 2 rr. The kanai 3 is easyly the best on the market and the quaility is the best it will outlast any buggy around i know ppl who are still winning races with an mp6 kyosho make them to last and make them well. As for the lightning it is just another cheap rip off that can't even be compared to the kanai. If that aint convincing then you are paying for the name kyosho.

Its not THAT good. The lightning series is based on it anyway, same crap. Its not a cheap rip off, you are an idiot for even thinking that, the Lightning is a competitive buggy and you cant take anything away from it, Kyosho also has the best drivers. Dont bash a good product.

2 IMO it aint the best
3 Outlast? Dont think so
4 Lightning pro can easily be compared to the K3 with the right Engine/Driver
But I do agree you cant compare the K3 to the RR Basically as thr K3 is a thouroghbred racer and the RR is a cheap basher (that breaks easy) and you certainly do pay over the odds for the name (twice Kyosho and Kanai), But the only thing that makes a buggy win is the hands holding the sticks (or wheel). But you could make an RR race ready for less than a K3 including radio, with ease.

You could also look into the Ofna PRC and the Mugen MBX-5. The Mugen, Ofna and Kanai are on a level all their own and would be more comparable than an Kanai and a lightning.

most buggies look the same because they are the same, they have to be the same or else you couldnt have a buggy class, and to be perfectly honest I went from a mbxr2 to a hyper 7 and could hardly tell the difference between the two, they both handled like buggies because thats exactly what they are. I mean sure you can have differences like C-hub or pbs, upright servo tray or laydown servo tray, Torsen diff, spider diff, or standard diff, etc....... I just personally think that when it all comes down to it the driver is what wins the race.

$1200 is that all. No chance of winning with that pityful amount. Oh hang on yes there is, theres always a cahance of wining even with a 300 buck buggy with a 50 dollar radio set. It's not all about speed, patience and taking the moment, that's where it's at.
