No one can give you a straight answer on that because the V-Spec is too new. However, One of the OS drivers has recently just retired his V-Spec after 7.5 gallons. Thats damn good for being a race tuned motor.

I'm looking at an add for it right now in Radio Control Car Action magazine. If the specs in the ad aren't an exageration and a race tuned engine will survive 7.5 gals then it sounds like an engine worth looking in to. These are the specs from the ad:
O.S. .21 VZ-B V-Spec-T (P)
Displacement: .21 cu in (3.5cc)
Bore: 0.653 in
Stroke: 0.630 in
Practical RPM: 3000-40,000
Output: 2.5 bhp @ 33,000 rpm
Weight (W/O muffler): 12.7 oz (360g)

i think with the 421b it is touch and go some people have bad luck with them and some people don't i don't think it is worth the risk. but some people might think other whys. the v-spec looks like a very good motor i would wiat untill after the worlds and find out who was running the v-spec and see what they said about it and if it is still running.

The Worlds are almost over. The V-SPec did Great. and So did the 421B.
Between those two motors I would go for the Top 421B. Anything in this hobby is touch and go. One moron gets something, doesnt treat it right- breaks it in some cold method, shoots a rod through the side of the case- leaves a bad taste in everyone elses mouth. (LoL- J/K Grahama)

What fuel would you recomend blue thunder 20% race blend and odonell 20% race, witch one has a higher % of oil. They are both $20.00 at my hobby store

I'm running the V-spec as well. On it's 4th gallon now and compression still good.
The 421B is also a good choice, but we've had 3 instances of the cooling head breaking the top fin completely.
RB of course would be a great engine, having just won the championship.
I'd hold out on Sirio as there is a newer version coming out.
The thing I like with the OS is parts are WAY cheaper than italian engines where I live.

Get the one that is cheeper OS V-spec or the RB WS7II either motor is great and I think that if you look around you can get RB parts just a quick and as cheep....Piston Sleeve and rod for either is $160.00 so the choice is literaly 50/50 I use a RB and have nothing to say but praises all around..RB makes a great motor..the V-spec I am still waiting for more data, from people were I live. That way I can make a good comparison. My friend has an OS and I have a RB we both do well neither is any greater but I do notice that the OS can pull away from me adn my RB takes the corners and the start almost every time...Hope all this helps...

RB has top end OS crazy insane amounts of bottom end, do you run open or texhnical, high or low grip? if it's low grip go RB unless it's really really technical if it's high grip and technical go OS if it's high grip and open go RB. but it's not that important so if there is a big pricae difference go for cheapest

probably a gallon. Thats how much they go for here as well. Go for the O'donnel, I dont like the blue thunder stuff.
As for the V-Spec, its got plenty of top end as well, if not more than the WS7II- the turbo plug helps out in that department.

I use 30% O'Donnel and it works great....O'Donnell fuel is TOP Notch and you still get great lube even with a higher %'ages....Long Live O'Donnell

I wont run O'donnell ever again unless they come up with a new formula, Whatever is in that gunk they sell makes my engines run hot and perform not up to par. I ran back to back test with the same motor, tuned to each fuel with Maxy's 30%, O'donnel 30% and MHP 30%- Maxy's took the cake with performance and temps, MHP wasn far behind with a barely noticeable difference in performance, similar temps, and O'Donnel just ran wayy to hot and performed like a slug compared to the other two. Motor was a JP Modified P5T with RB 9886 Pipe, stock header and Novarossi Turbo #6 Plug on a 90 (roughly) Degree Hot/Humid day here in Florida.

man skyline how old are you. are you bill gates son or something you must be loaded. you must have tried everything under the sun. get a rody c5 with a fironi turbo clutch and a nova 9853pipe then tell me it has no bottom end.
