It works rather well, at least on my XTM 24.7 I used it with. One of the nice things about it is that the drill opening can face one of several different directions. This makes it easy to use on a number of truck/motor combinations. Make sure you pay attention to the assembly instructions when installing it, and be sure to apply plenty of grease on the gears. I would also reccommend that you clean the motor's OWB while you're making the switch, as it's easier that going back later.
The starter shaft for the TigerDrive is a little pricey IMO though. You can use a standard L-wrench with the short end cut off to save a few bucks.

A friend of mine got one for his OS VZ-B and Ofna 9.5 pro. He said it works OK but for the samne money he said that a starter box is quicker and more reliable. I would tend to think the same when I first started in nitro I had the HPI rotostart system and it worked pretty good but when you are in need of the torque need to break a new mill in the starter box is still the king. IMHO I would say the Tiger Drive would be particularly better for Monster Trucks.
These are just my opinions.

I agree with the starter box comments. if you can use a starter box, there is no better way to go. Of course if you had to have a right angle starter, the aluminum bracket and steel gears of the Tiger Drive look much stouter than anything else i've seen out there.

I did ALOT of research on this device, as much as getting in contact with Sullivan. After countless hours of fighting with a pullstart, and not wanting to lug around a starterbox while bashing, I found this gear start system. Theres two options here: 1. buy their starter @ $50 aside from the drive itself or 2. buy the shaft and attach it to a drill, but make sure it a STRONG drill. I too liked their ability to be mounted in any direction of the compass. I was about to place the order when I noticed that if it was installed on my motor facing north, it hits my eshaust, west it hits the downpipe, south.. no way, east, again... I eneded up calling Ofna and found a backplate that would fit my non-ofna buggy. At the end of the day I'd have to say I'm happy with the Ofna backplate starter and for the Tigerdrive being only $19 @ Tower, it reminds me of that phrase, "you get what you pay for". Good luck brother.
