I'm not calling that man any names. I'm just calling him out because he lets immature people with very little knowledge on the subject represent him in the public eye. Poor decisions. I wouldn't let an immature know-nothing represent me in public by going to a forum where everyone (for the most part) knows there ish- and spout off some stupid comments and figures like "My RB Mods Crono RS7 makes 5.5HP at 55,000 RPMS- and it hauls" That's just poor choices on Ricks part. ANd it sucks for him because from what I've heard from people who run his motors they are awesome for what they are. And I've seen a few run- Mostly Picco Comps ( People at some of the tracks here) and they run nice- but nothing that I notice that makes them stand out far passed any of HIS competition.

what makes you think he 'lets' people represent him...you think he should get a private eye to document everything his customers and emplyees say to make sure they dont say anything wrong?....get real...anyone whos been through high school knows about misrepresntation by friends and enemies....if we can't get the real truth on the news how do you expect to maintain it on forums where talking about his work is essentially gossip...
like pub conversations ...."...i had a capri that could do 60 in a hair under 3 seconds..." etc...everyone embellishes a bit, now quit ruining the thread and lets get back to the point eh?

I have no personal axe to grind with rick, all I'm asking for is a straight answer from him. He won't discuss modding specifics, at least never where i've seen it, but he's always popping up on fresh rc boards asking for business. As soon as someone asks him anything about the crazy claims or why such a top shelf guy would need to buy from his competition, he puffs like a bullfrog and takes a powder. In a few weeks he'll show up on yet another rc board somewhere trying to drum up business. He's done it on every board I subscribe to save one and it's been the same thing every time.

You guys seem as if you are upset over something that was said by someone besides him. Even if its one of his driver SO WHAT!!! What ever happen to just being cool. You know one thing about this hobby is that if you can't have fun and trip out then it sucks. And it seems as if you guy are making this hobby a too serious thing. I think the Jp would take it, The c5 in a short run but the JP overall, Pipes are up in the air, Short track JP1 or 063 Longer track JP2 or 086 and if you buy the 086 you can buy the adapters from Ofna to Tailor it to your track size and dirt inconsistencies between different tracks.

The JP modded by rick is gonna fly (prolly better then JP himself) I have a P5T modded by rick and its a beast I recommend hes work to everyone. I am going to be sending my JP RX21R thats in my SMP to him for next season.
OH BTW I would have to go with a JP-2 for pipe choice because from what I've notice it didnt take away from the low end like the 086 does IMO.

I just had a 1:1 scale engine built ans I know it turns 114,000 RPM's.
Now is that claim the fault of the engine builder? I may make any claim I wish. It should not effect the engine builder at all. It's just like my Chevy is faster then your Ford. What water do my claims hold? I think the key word that you stupid people (you know who your are) are missing is CLAIMS. By the above do you mean I'm cramming more air into the case than it can use or is it dumping more out the exhaust than it's pulling in? This thing is crazy with any pipe, but I started out with an ofna 063 and it was way more than I could handle, but I wanted to see what it would do with an 086. With the 86 and a ya'll industries adapter it was off the scale when compared to what it was with the 63. I want to think it's a scavenging issue based on how much difference there was between pipes, but I don't want to buy another pipe if the gains are going to be minimal. It's already more engine than I can use except for stupid pet tricks at the monster jam.
