I have a hyper 7 pbs which starts off a box you put it on. Is it posable to fit a pull start to the engine?
The places I use my off road buggies makes draging the box along a pain in the rear end.
If so whats parts do I need?
Thanks Lee

Hi Lee,
It should just be a case of getting a pull start unit that replaces the crank case cover on the engine. Unless you also need to get amodified crankshaft,
If starting with the pull start you may need to loosen the glow plug slightly when starting to help you turn the engine over. Also fitting a pull start can add a bit of resistance which will slow the engine down. Not sure if it would be noticable though.

lee- you should really think twice about doing that. you will have a lot more probs w/ the pull start and im shure it is a little bit of a hassel to carry the starter box put believe me the pull start sucks and is a pain to start the motor. and you WILL notice a diff w/ the power loss. ive had pull starts and they are a BIG pain in the a@#!

You can get a pullstart to the hyper at ebay.

This is a great dealer in my opinion.

Spoke to the local model shop today and they recon new cam etc needed to convert the engine to pull start and no roto start avalable.
So If I want to go to a pull start, it would be just as easy to bung a new engine in.
Has anyone fited a .26 to a hyper 7?
And if so, which one, Im on a tight git budget.
