I think I'm right, but does the 'Heat Cycle Method' mean that you run it on the ground. First you accelerate to about half throttle then back off and let it roll. If I'm correct wouldn't it be better to just let it idle for a tank then put it on the ground. I think this is what you're actually meant to do but I'm not so sure.
Well anyway the video was about starting an engine for the first time and not so much on break in. There was a good tip though. After he fills the tank he then primes it. Priming you block the exhaust and turn the engine over. Well he took the glowplug out and then primed it until petrol spat out of where the glowplug is meant to go. Then unplug the exhaust, turn over the engine a couple of times to stop it from flooding. Re-insert the glow plug and it should be perfectly primed.
And another thing, I have now resorted to typing with correct puncuation and capitals.... I think it make me less lazy and easy for other people to read and understand.

I'm not that great on computers, I have tried clicking on both of th above links and it looks like it is opening a new page for a few seconds and then the page comes up with the "cannot find server" message, am I doing something wrong, do I need to install something? All other internet sites are workig, my connection is fine, and I have broadband ADSL. Whats happening?

The Bess method of breakin (also called the Heat Cycle Method)
From the very 1st time you start your engine, plop the car on the
ground & begin running it in a parking lot in 2-3 minute intervals,
tuned only *slightly rich* getting the temps up in the 200F range on a
normal day. Every 2-3 minutes, shut the engine down & let it cool
completely with the piston at BDC, and then fire it back up; continue
this cycle until you've run 15 min or so, and then bump up to 3-4
minute intervals. Vary the RPM and don't be afraid to get the temps
in the 200's. What you want is heat cycling of the components without
the incredible stress that comes with breaking an engine in when it's
overly rich & cold. After cycling the engine in this manner for about
20-25 total minutes, it'll be ready for the track and race tuning.

Well the time it takes to download the video is a joke but the actual video is pretty good. Does anyone have a link to a site for the Heat Cycling Method. Maybe I'll try it on a new engine. BTW this is not a break in vid. Even though the name is. It is more actually starting an engine for the first time. So if you guys know a link please share.
