Default Gs Storm Help

Hi Guys,

A few months back i purchased a GS storm buggy. And ill be honest i dont know that much about 1/8th scale gas buggies.

Anyway it ran like a dream until a few days ago, when i noticed a rattle.

I took it apart and a few bits of sheared metal fell out. Not sure whats missing but the clutch bell is now always loose.

I attached a picture of what i have the only thing that i dont have in the picture is the black clutch bell.

Everything else is in teh picutre !!

Why is it so loose ?

Cheers

If the cluch bell has lateral play (side-to-side), then it means that somehow you lost some of the bell spacers (really thin washers the go on the crankshaft pilot just before you install the cluch bell); however, if the the cluch bell wabbles then it probably means that one or both cluch bell bearings detonated and the olny thing supporting the bell is the bearing races.[X(] If it was bearings, then that would definatly explain the mysterious bits of whatever that fell out.[:'(]

Yes, it sounds like the 2 bearings that support the clutch bell on the engine's outpus shaft need to be replaced.
