Default Controller throttle setting?

I've been doing some break-in runs with my new buggy and it's running great apart from i have to have the throttle lever on the controller all the way to the top to make it stand still when idling. However, when i have the lever somwhere in the middle i seem to be getting a higher top speed but the buggy won't idle without moving and doesn't brake prolperly. Is there a way to fix this?

Yes, one or both of two things are happening, you have to close the carb so that when u let go of the throttle the carb is at 1mm opening, and or also check your idle needle and bring the idle needle down if the carb is set in the correct 1mm position, by bringing the needle down i mean turn the needle out (counterclockwise) a little at a time till the car can idle at a stand still position, hope this helps!

sounds like your brake bias is out, try turning on the electrics on the car and the radio. the throttle servo should hold the carb down at idle. and when you brake it should engage the brake levers over your center diff, try engaging the brake and see if you can push the car.. if you can you need to change your brake throttle bias. set it to 0 on your radio, then take the servo horn off the throttle servo, put it back on so it holds the carby closed, then try it ane see how it works,,
