My car has been going well since my last post. Now i have broken the gear bell. The clutch has actually worn through the metal. I was told in my local shop that it is better to use a plastic clutch rather than a metal one. Please let me know if this is true. I am thinking that with the metal clutch you will go through less but maybe has less performance???
Thanks in advance

the clutch shoes ? do you mean aluminium shoes as opposed to nylon ones ? If so its a preferance.. Aluminium will egage later and give a little more slip for low traction surfaces.. whereas nylon will give more grip and have better wear.. Also make sure your clutch shoes are trailing not leading ..
