i want to put monster truck wheels on my hyper 7 and i was wondering what i need. iv seen some 17mm to somthing hexes but i have no idea where to get them from.
will the bigger wheels put any extra stress on the engine? if so how much?(its the 4 port hyper engine i think)

thanks. any idea whether it puts more pressure on the engine due to the increased effort to turn the bigger wheels? will it do the enigine any damage?

i personally wouldn't use the wheeel adapters .just get 2 sets of dominator wheels they fit on a 17mm hex and take tmaxx/savage tyres. thier a bit stronger too

just run a mugen 12T bell it should work fine- just dont go too big. you have to think about rubbing on the body. i put the bigger tires on mine and the body rubbed when you turn. so i used the PANTHER LP'S (low profile) they are still bigger but dont rub and dont put as much stress on the motor.you can get wheels in dish cheap as well. the maximizer adapters worked fine on mine they are top of the line and cheap. goodsgood on ebay has some alumnium arms as well. i didnt break any plastic arms on mine.

yeah i think ill do the same but with the chrome version of the wheels. those wheels are filthy pimp! the bigger wheels will only really be for show and maybe off road surfaces which need better ground clearance/bigger wheels

they fit on standard mt rims and are the same rolling diameter as buggy tyres, wel maybe they are a fraction bigger but you would have to look pretty hard to notice.

are you talking about yours or the link (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...6&I=LXDX80&P=K) from xtremraptor. sorry if you thought i meant yours. i should have made it clearer. i wanted to know if these (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...6&I=LXDX80&P=K) had a bigger rolling radius than buggy wheels.
thanks anyway. nice cars

yes the bowties have a much bigger rolling diameter than buggy wheels, if you want to put them on a buggy and not kill clutchs all the time you will need to alter the gearing quite a lot

okay so i have an XTM XTERM buggy.
how would i change the gearing?
obviously i can change the CB. but changing that is not gonna relieve any pressure on the clutch system, is it? since the clutch still has to try to spin the CB in the first place.
do they have a different ring gear for the center diff?
or do i just use different diff oils to change the way the diffs react? if this is it what should be done? should i lighten the oil to releive tension or should i thicken it up to tighten the system?
