Default New tuned pipe.

Hi, I am in the market for a new tuned pipe for my .26 Hyper engine. I was looking at the O.S. T-2050 pipe because of what people had to say about it and I was wondering if it was for low or high end? ALso what other pipes are as or almost as good but for a little cheaper? Thanks for any help!!!

Try the Jammin JP-1 or OFNA 063, both for low end power. They run about 45-55 bucks depending where you buy it.

There is no Hyper .26 engine, so I guess it's the Force .26?

Why use money on a tuned pipe before you even has learned to drive the buggy? You should get a humppack first and better servos.

joes75: Isnt the jammin' pipe illegal though? I wouldm get it but I already have an illegal size engine and dont want to be that much of a newb that I have to use illegal stuff and still lose. LOL Also what about the Novarossi pipes? I have seen them on many, MANY buggys.

Engrose: Well, I have been driving it around and just wanted more power but if you really think I should get a beter servo (Bluebird) and a hump pack with a charger obviuosly, please say so because I dont want to make a mistake either. Unless there is something else I could buy (besides a servo because I am geting that for sure) that is a really good idea to upgrade on my Buggy? Thanks for all of your help!

the jammin pipe is illegal because of the stinger, not because of any performance related issues.

If youve already got an outlaw engine and (I assume) will be racing in an outlaw class, then theres nothing wrong with the jammin

Alright then, but has anyone used the O.S. pipe? Someone said they put it on and "it was godly" so they say. If it is THAT good then I may wnat to get it but if not then the jammin' is my next choice (unless someone tells me about the Novarossi pipe). So please tell me about the Novarossi and the O.S. pipe and any tohers unless the jammin' is my best bet but still I kind-of like the Novarossi, its pretty and supposidly very good also. Thanks again!!!

The Jammin isnt "illegal" because of its stinger. Ofna has simply not applied for an EFRA number for it. For reasons that I dunno- but none of there pipes are EFRA registered- mainly because they are knock-offs of Novarossi and Picco and Sirio pipes so they probably couldnt register it.

In my opinion, this is roughly the correct order in which to perform upgrades

Steering servo and suitable tyres for your track, first, and at the same time.
Rx pack
Radio Gear (Tx)
Exhaust
Starter box
Engine

And remember, the biggest difference to PERCEIVED power and speed comes from how the thing is geared. If you want more top end, put a clutch bell with more teeth. Similarly, if you want more acceleration, less teeth on the clutch bell. You will be astonished what a difference this makes.

Transmitter (tx)
Receiver (rx)

If you get a better pipe for your Force engine, then you should think about which engine you want later. In that way you can get a pipe that can be used on your next engine as well.
But my opinion is that you should wait until you have to get a new engine and then get a good one with a matching pipe.
The Force engine shouldn't be that bad.
Where do you feel that it's lacking. Is it in acceleration or topspeed?

Airtronics MX 3, synthesized if you can afford it, or anything better than that...
Hitec aggressor (the good one, CRX I think) has a lot of features for the money.
