Force .26 engine help!!!
i have a jammin rtr and just broke it in properly and fully but the top speed isnt fast as normal and runs like its rich and when i lean it out it overheats BUT still runs like its RICH. please helpppp.

yep - sounds like a Force .26! My suggestion is lean it out and run it until it pukes and then get a better engine. Your discription sounds very tipical of the Force .26 - I had one and have seen several of them on the RTR's here at our local track.

A shim is like a very very thin washer that goes between the engine block and cooling head -- you can probably get them at Nitro House.
Everspeed - what clued you in to the need for a head shim? Do these engines have a pre-ignition problem? You have raised my interest here.

I tried the glow plug wsher, and it's not enough. The head shims actually go between the button head and the cylinder. I've had a couple of Force .26's, and they both needed a couple of head shims to get them to run right, even with 20% nitro. They actually made decent power after that too. The timing is too far advanced in these engines. Or they just simply are building them with too much compression. Same difference. I switched to an MC59 plug too. This made for less flameout trouble.

EVERSPEED -- thanks for the tip on the Force .26 - I'll have to remember that one. Not that I plan on owning another one - but like everywhere else - people get into the hobby via the RTR route (I know I did) and they end up with a Force .26.

check for exhaust smoke, if u got no smoke at hight speed, you are probably very lean. some time VERY lean make your car act like very rich: low temp, lack of power, can't reach hight speed. IF your car lost is smoke with speed, try richen like half of a turn.
