PLz help me choose a buggy!!!!! please
Ok i am now switching from moster truck racing to buggies, but their is one problem, i dont know a nice one to get. I want a buggy in th $300- $450 range. and maybe with a stater box, maybe. i want a buggy thats pretty popular, has mayb qualified in some races, and most importantly, to have a pretty wide range of parts and hop up parts. Now if their isnt a buggy with not too many extra parts , but its good, i would like to see those to. please help, please. and i dont want a buggy i have to build, i want an RTR please.

well everybody in here pretty much told me to get the sportwerks mayhem RTR buggy. it comes with a great motor, and JR electronics. It's kind of pricy though. You might want to look at the ofna buggys. Never heard any bad things about those.

you don't like to build kits[X(]....just kiddin
well if you gonna go with an rtr you might wanna try the hyper 7 pbs or the pcr, and they do have a wide variety of upgrades for them... both come with a starter box. and the good thing though is that you don't have to spend time trying to set it up properly because its specifically for the hyper 7....they mayhem is good too but it is kinda pricey...you can probably find a jammin rtr buggy for $450 on ebay
i really suggest you get a kit, so your familiar with you buggy and all the parts, and you can pick all of the stuff you want. all of ofna's rtr buggies come with crapy electronics, i mean they'll get you going and are fine for just bashing, but if you gonna race you need to upgrade your electronics big time....

What do the guys at your local track run? Ask around..maybe they'll let you try their car out. Check out your LHS too. Find out what is supported locally so you don't get stuck waiting on parts. You will have to get familiar with building whatever buggy you choose. Maintenance is very important in keeping you car in top shape.

CEN has an excellent RTR package coming out for their Matrix. You get a .26 engine (i have yet to see it though), a Sanwa/Airtronics MX-3 radio, and of course the buggy.

The SHO is a average beginner buggy, but the Hyper7 PBS is a much better buy. It's good from the beginning and can easily be upgraded to a much higher level. It has a starterbox and can be had for a good price. The parts are easy to get and very cheap.
The Jammin is a newer design and should be really good on a track.

RE: PLz help me choose a buggy!!!!! please
well, the pbs can be found on ebay for pretty cheap i've seen it for like $320 buy it now, acehardwarehobbies has it for $409 if you don't trust ebay
go to www.ofna.com then click on pcr racing
there are many hopups that you can put on your pbs
are you buying it or is you dad buying it? if you can't convince him, try saving up money yourself, or make a deal with him and split it down the center or something

why even consider a Hyper 7 when the Hyper 8 is just around the corner!
you don't want to be obsolete within a few weeks do you

You can always put the parts from the Hyper7 Pro on the PBS.
But maybe you should listen to sh0wtime and wait to see what the Hyper8 is - and maybe the price on the 7 will be reduced when the 8 can be bought.

RE: PLz help me choose a buggy!!!!! please
if u can afford it you should buy an expensive better buggy because i always find that it is really good and fast for about two days of having it and then you want to make it better, buy a new engine, make it lighter so just buy a good one from the start like i didnt do lol.

i have the SHO, and it is very durable. i have had mine for about 7 months now, and i have not broken one single part. the engine is also very powerful. i highly recommend it, as i seriously doubt u will be disappointed.
