bent shock tower
I bought a used rex x and he assured me that he had never crashed it and that he looked after it.
I have noticed that there is a bent shock tower on the front and it is bent only about a couple of millimeters, and the metal must be about 3 or 4 mm thick. Would it of been a bad crash to bend it that much and would it of damaged anything else?
thanks!

RE: bent shock tower
The rex has a tendency to break the diffcase where it's attached to the shock towers, so you need to inspect the cases carefully.
But in general you should be suspicious of the car and give it a good search for other damages and general wear.
It is a bad idea to buy used from a source that you don't know. These cars get a lot of abuse.

RE: bent shock tower
Nah, doesnt take much to bent the shock towers. Upside down landing or a rollover at a good speed will do it.
I bend them up all the time on my Ultra LX, yet I have never broken a part on it.
