Default cen racing

this is just my opinion, but cen racing is really starting to get on my nirve with their lame advertisement

like how they say the matrix beat team xray, the matrix looks like a piece of crap and looks like its made of cheap materials like their other cars. xb8 is way better then that matrix crap

i just saw an add for the nemesis and it is saying its ending the revolution and has pics. of the revo in the background..the nemesis is all right i guess but the revo is wayy more thought out and a much better truck. why would you want to own a 17lbs truck that isn't all that durable??

cen, why don't you try advertising your cars by showing people what they're really made of rather than making some dumb add. stop trying to make your cars look better than others when they're not at all...

thats all i have to say......

Why are you judging cars after you haven't driven or have one... You dont even know if the Xray is better because its mostly all in the driver and the setup it doesn't matter what buggy you have all the time.

i must say i hate the advertising for the matrix, very unoriginal using Matrix symbols from the movie.

If it sux, why has it doing pretty well against other brands?

granted it is mainly the drivers' skill, but they drive all sorts of buggies, and choose according to which one feels the best, and which company pays the best.

I can't stand cen either. They might have done something right on the matrix but it really isn't hard to look at another buggy and make the same design... for all anyone knows it could have been a fluke that the thing handles good. I do know they have don't testing and tuning with it but I'm pretty sure its the drivers that told them what they want and what changes will give it to them. Look at anything else cen has built... the parts are cheap, designs aren't well thought out. As far as I'm concerned they haven't shown any will at all to make a good performance product instead they just want money. If they really did... they would have confidence in their product instead of spending money on dumbass advertisments. Confidence like what kyosho shows with 6 back to back world championships on the MP777 box. If you don't have championships than just let the product do the talking like XRay and Mugen did. Cen as a company just isn't racing material.

Its okay I have a Cen SP1 and I was really Pi$$ed off at them when I first entered the hobby the car had a couple of problems like airleaks and messed up carb. and the tank having air leaks in it. After a couple of months I finally got it running. There customer support wasn't really helpful to me either one of the guys was back talking me (no I didn't ask a stupid question) for some reason after I was asking him if I could send my car to him and get them to replace the parts for free(which the manager said he could do for me) but its an okay car I don't have any problems with it anymore. Although I didnt like the guy that was being a @$*.

CEN Racing as a company (just like all new companies) has had their fair share of issues. I have seen the change that has accoured within the last 3 years, and I take pride in being a part of it.

Sorry to hear that you dont like our advertisements. However, we advertise to a broad audience and advertisments can't and will not please everyone.

I have also had alot of influence on the Matrix 1/8th scale buggy and am completely convinced that it is capable of the championships that other cars have achieved. Our first race team has been formed and 2006 will be the first year for CEN at the track.

The results will speak for themselves.

Thanks for your comments and happy holidays.

PATchy,

YES!! I will be there for sure. You attending? If so see ya there! Definately a fun race.

Question for everyone.

What would you like to see in an advertisement? Perhaps I can forward some valuable info to our Marketing crew.

Thanks in advance.

i would go, but i don't have a ride and i cant drive yet cause im only 14[&o] good luck though andrew.

in you advertisements, instead of comparing your products with some other companies products(like saying how the nemesis is ending the revolution and it had a picture of a revo in the background) show what your cars can actually do. like when i saw that one advertisement about how the matrix beat the whole xray team, i'm sure that made some xray owners kinda mad. the matrix is a great buggy, so show what it can do.

cen has really steppped up there game there new trucks and buggy are awesome you need to see there new nemesis and matrix up close and personal before you jump to conclusions. stop judging them on things from the pass because there coming strong with great quality and performance product. if we judged the revo by what the tmaxx was nobody would have it. they need to do what ever flashy advertisement the need to make there product stand out when there is so much compatition. advertisement is what help drive sales. if it was your product and you were trying to sell it you would say its the greatest thing in the world. so grow up

I had a cen genesis for about a year. I must say it is byfar THE most unreliable piece of **** I ever saw. broken drivetrain EVERY time I drove it. Bad radio, bad overall quality pluss my 26 picco savage spunk its ass. where is those 5 horses? I never found them anyway. After several breakdowns I took it back to my hobbyshop and they gave me my money back I`ll never ever buy a cen car again. did I mention it overpriced too, for just a little more money you can get the fg monster

personally i think the matrix looks awsome. the radio looks nice i like the captured hinge pins the chassis braces while not billet are still better then the pivot ball ones on most buggies(i'm talking rtr)i like the way the tank has the splash gaurd that goes the whole way around it. and like all new vehicles it may have some problems. but it should turn out to be a sweet buggy. as far as advertising i've not seen the ones you guys are griping about but the ones i saw seemed normal. and look at some other companies. they all make it seem like they are so much better then the rest. what do you want them to say buy our buggy, it isn't as good as the other guys but buy it anyway. if you don't like the company or their cars then don't buy them. next fall i'm buying a new buggy and if there is a pro model in kit form it will be the matrix.

wow... sounds like you really dont like CEN with all that never ending chicago show demo story. I was at RCX this year, many top brand like kyosho was demoing and broke too but that didnt change my views about them. Anyways, they ads start to getting better.... i really like the new Matrix ad with Jason ashton in there.. make me proud of my matrix... hehe

I hated cen as well. They were pretty much the bottom of the barrel in nitro to choose from. I race with trackman every weekened that we can and he got the matrix just to have something to mess with. It really did surprise me.... all of the parts are made of high quality especially the turn buckles which look indestructable. It has quite a few adjustments thought I didn't get a look at the more detailed ones it had everything you needed. The radio was decent but the teeth in the steering servo stripped on the second day out. With some setting up it deffinatly has potential to be a serious racer and the quality is there. Even the engine is doing damn good. It isn't lots of power but its reliable and easy to tune.

Sorry Scott I haven't been here for a while so didn't see your challenge for this weekend otherwise I would have had my buggy together. The matrix was fun to drive but it still needed some setting up on those rear shocks they were to stiff. I can't say how it handled compaired to my kyosho because I haven't driven my kyosho on the kind of conditions we had today but it felt like it was fast enough to be up front if we had a race and you didn't traction roll because of the grip we had today.
