My buggy does not turn unless I give it throttle? Has anyone had this problem? It seems that unless I give it throttle my servo does not work while the enigine is running. When the engine is not running it works fine.

If you are using dry cell batteries -- upgrade to a rechargeable receiver pack as soon as you possibly can and if you you are using a stock steering servo then you will need to upgrade that as well.
What buggy are you running, engine, servo's etc....

what's the torque rating on that servo? if it's over 90 OZ it should be able to turn your wheels be sure to check your end point adjustments before you start dissassembling and spending

Is this a new problem? Was the buggy running/turning ok before and this problem just started?
I agree - check out your radio settings and also check out your servo wires to make sure none of them have any cracks in the insulation and make sure that they are plugged into the reciever.
Thanks for the info on your buggy -- I have the 777 myself and the steering on it is fantastic as I imagine it is on the SP1. Hope that you find the problem.

I am not sure that the SP1 and the 777 have the same chassis - or do they? Yeah - I know that starter boxes can be a pain to set up. We have 3 777's and they all fit a little different on the bump box.
Did you check your radio settings to see if that stopped your other problem?

Just to clarify it dosent turn at all when at idle but does when you pick the revs up? Is this on the starter box or on the track? The way i'm reading your post you are getting interference when the engine idles. If so it could be a lot of things, any metal to metal parts rattling, your switch playing up, etc. etc.
Is how i've read it how you ment?
