I'm fairly new to 1/8 buggy racing, but make no mistake It's a fairly easy transition coming from monster truck racing then truggy racing to buggy racing. I got into 1/8 gas late last month when I got a deal on a used Mayhem Pro that I couldn't pass up. I've raced it at 2 club races and countless practices now and I love it. I think it does everything very well when set up right. My question is why do I keep reading everywhere on the internet that the only reason to buy a Mayhem is for the electronics and that the chassis isn't up to snuff. What is wrong with this buggy? It seems to do everything I need it to, am I missing something? I will admit the only other buggy I've driven was a mugen mbx 5 and frankly I didn't notice it doing anything better than the Mayhem. Tell me why I would buy another make/model buggy. What do the other buggys that everyone is constantly raving about (and telling everyone they should buy instead of the mayhem) do that the Mayhem can't? I'm not at all saying that the Mayhem is the best buggy, I'm just asking what in your opinion makes it less race worthy than the other big names.

Yes, If you look in the buyers guide Car Action 2005 and I Quote ( An Excellent choice for the beginner are for those who are just getting started in 1/8 scale buggy racing ) We have A Pro an a RTR ) There is a flex problem, but can be fixed, you can not use a starter
box with the RTR w/o doing some modifications, which was no big deal to me, It's very fast, but harder to set up to differant tracks then some other buggys I own! Would I buy one again? In a Heart Beat, It took me about 1500.00 to get mine race ready, and thats not to bad
