Default Got a Mugen ProSpec, from my grandpa

My grandpa has a habit of building kits and then giving them to me, the last 3 were nice but nothing I could race, this time he absolutely shocked me with a Mugen ProSpec, with over a 1k value! It's pictured with a V-Spec, but I'm going to sell it and get a P5, so if any of you want a v-spec in 4 weeks let me know. Reason 4 weeks, is because the car is in NC, and im in MD, im not visiting him until spring break.

Can't wait to drive this car! I hear they handle SOOo well.

Anything I should know about? Any necessary mods? Spare parts? Look forward to racing it.

You officially have the coolest grandpa in the world!

You might want to pick up a set of carolina's RC O-rings ( www.carolinasrc.com ) for your diffs because the stock ones tend to leak a bit. But other than that no modding required really if you're not a pro driver that can feel every gram shed away from the car.

Well okay if you really want to hop it up, I suggest:
LiPo Battery to save weight, titanium screws, titanium CVDs, carbon fiber side guards, Lottaballs polyethylene pivot balls, aluminium locknuts, aluminium rear brace holder, Power-Save-Racing filter elements etc..
And in the end it will look something like this:

Thanks.
The screws are from Mugen themselves. About the CVDs: You have a PM!

Hey Viper, I heard that LiPo cells aren't good for off-road, they glitch when you land a jump.

I cushioned the pack really well, at least 5mm of foam on every side. But I'll find out soon enough if that's true. If it is I'll slap a capacitor on the car.

PS: Kendall Bennet from A-Main Hobbies has run LiPo for some time now. He didn't mention anything of the kind.

I don't like it's colour. And it's only 10 grams lighter than mine.

PS: Unbreakable207, I forgot one thing. You can raise the steering plate/ackermann 3mm with some shims, this will get rid of the bump steer (change of toe when the suspension is compressed). It'll steer even better like that.

Does the flywheel come out enough to easily bump?

I'm going to use a rd revo starterbox, that's why I ask.

It doesn't come out at all, it it did then the engine would stall at every hard landing or when you touch a stone.
Don't know anything about that starter box or if a buggy would even fit onto it, you'll have to find out when you get it.

It's going to be very tough for you to start the buggy with a Revo starter box... You can try and if you can push the button wown on the RD starter box with your finger and line up the wheel just right you can probably get it. Your best bet is to buy a starter box for it.

Well, I may be able to make an adapter out of wood, since I have a shop class. Pritty good at those things.

I don't think it'll be that hard, just have to line it up.

Hey guys, I'm getting a tnt moddified p5x, can anyone give me any heads up on this engine such as gearing?

I plan on using it with an ofna 086? I believe it's something like that.

Not sure how big your track is? I'm running the stock gearing on a Prospec with a Fusion Hot Mod P5X & the JP2 pipe. It's plenty fast with a 13 tooth clutch bell.

If you check the mugenseiki.com set-ups you will find that most team drivers run the 13T, hope this helps.
