One of the local racers I know just got a Hyper 8. He told me his motor mount screws hang past the chassis on the bottem .90 mill ? Has anyone else noticed this?

.90 mill? So less than one millimeter?

He must have some of those fancy digital calipers

Don't know yet, but I will soon. Sounds like something one swipe of a file could fix.

Yes,
the wing mounts, the knuckles, diff gears, 3-ring unis, and some others

If you cross reference numbers on the parts list you'll find which parts fit both cars
all the parts that start 19### are from the Hyper7
Some are running the H7 rear uprights also (not the same part numbers)

Hey guys I don't know if this has been asked but will any of the hyper 8 parts change over on a hyper 7 pbs like the c hub set up shock towers anything.

The brown truck just dropped mine off today
I'll be digging into it later
So if I get the front and rear arms, suspension towers it will all bolt up with no problem. Just need to know I'm new to buggy so I don't know what changes over.

How did you ever jump to that conclusion??
The arms and diff cases are very differnt between the 2 cars, not even close
the towers will not work between cars either

The Hyper8 is not an upgraded hyper7 it's a mostly all new design

Well from what I was reading they were the same just a lighter chassis and things like that I found the parts on ebay and since I only paid $25 for my hyper 7 pbs hell it was worth a try.

Wow,
someone gave you some costly, bad information

the h8 lower arms are about 7mm wider @ the diff case, good luck getting them to work
and the h8 shock tower holes won't be even close to lining up with the hole in the h7 diff

So, what kinda engine should I toss in this? I do plan on racen this buggy, so power is a big thing. The biggest badest engine out there would be great. OS 30vg in this maybe? Still needs to be legal and all, there is a rc pro series starting in a few months, I got the buggy, now for the power. Thanks for any info.

Ok, you talked me out of the OS .21 and into the RB Concepts
World S7 II X3 .21 Engine. $309.95 plus s/h, should have it by wednesday, hope I get the buggy put together by then. Oh, Im hopen this was a wise choice of power plants, Im sure it is though, anyone know the specs on this hp/torque? Thanks.

RB concepts doesnt publish power figures, but they are very strong engines. the WS7 X3 is a great motor. and u dont need an engine larger than .21 to get the best power. the WS7, C5BB, V-spec, P5, 421B, and others easily out motor most anythign else made. dont believe any of the power claims in the ads.

good job on your choice of engine. enjoy

.90? Thats 4 times the size of what these buggies are built for. These buggies take size .21-.32 engines. .90 is made for helicopters and airplanes.

He is saying the screws stick below the chassie .90 Mill. He is not running a .90 mill engine.

Well, I got the hump and the transmitter all in the tray and the lid closed. I'll get a pic posted here as soon as I find my camera, I think my mother took it to take pictures of the tornado damage done to here house. I seen the pic Klaus448 posted, and I noticed hes running a jr system, Im running a spektrum and its just a bit smaller than the jr. So far so good on my buggy project. Quick question, what nitro % should I run? Im thinking 20%.
