Default Starter Box Recommendation

I am tired of yanking the pull start on my Ofna Force.25, which can't be adapted to a rotostart. As a result, I am planning on buying a starter box. Does anyone have any recommendations? It would be great if they made a light weight starter box, as I remember from my 1/8th on-road days how heavy these things are to lug around.

Unfortunetly the heavier ones are the better ones IMO. You want a box that has a single motor. A favorite at the track I race at is the OFNA Chrome Top. Its got one big motor in it and with a gel cell in it you'll get plenty of spin.

Someone else may know of a lighter one...I dont know of any decent light ones tjough...sorry.

The mugen box is great. It is very light, compact, and very powerful. It just won't accept a 12v you have to use to stick packs.

Ofna Crome top is the best on the market IMO turns over anything... My buddy had a brand new Collari .32 in his Buggy ( Hes Crazy and stupid i know) and it was TIGHHHT the roto start could turn it over i brought out my bump box and it turn it no problems..

and its a good thing that its heavy give your arms a work out while you bashing or racing..

it shouldn't harm the pullstart, i know many people who use bump starters on their pullstart engines. the one way bearing should make it fine to bump start, it's no different to having your engine running.

i use the ofna chrome top & love it. heaps of grunt & with the gel cell it lasts a long time between charges.

The "Chrome Top" is OFNA part no. 10250. There is a better option, which is #10253. This is the same box, but with a power panel included. This gives you the ability to use a glow driver #92572, which operates directly off of the 12 volt gell cell battery in the starter box. This eliminates the need for a separate glow driver that uses AA, C, or D batteries (which die quickly compared to the giant 12 volt battery).
