I know I'm biased but from what I've seen at the track the H8 is a much better buggy. But in the end it really depends 90% on driver's skill, about 8% setup, then the last 2% is the buggy.
If you can afford the Hyper 8 then go for it, if not the Turmoil is an okay buggy.

Yeah I think my percentages are a bit off now that I think lol.
I guess more like 60% skill, 25% setup, 15% car?

.Tazer has a good point to. Unless you just buy online then how good is your local support for parts? I'd go for whatever buggy has better support in your area because both are deffinate winners.

I have a turmoil and I like it. I like what I've seen about the hyper 8 too, except for the aluminum dogbones(I don't think they would be as reliable as steel, however they are lighter). Overall, unlike MTs, all buggies are pretty much made the same way(some are better than others), and it does depend alot on the driver. So, as was already stated, pick a buggy with good parts support!

I bought my Hyper 8 a couple weeks ago and finally got to race it yesterday. I raced in our sportsman class and won. I ran against a mayhem, MP777, and a Hyper 8. Beat second place by about 4 seconds. I thought it was great since I only had two tanks of fuel for practice time.

Still need to get one or two things to get my Hyper 8 running but I sure do like the way it is made and seems to be made very well. Should have mine on the track in a couple of weeks. I picked mine up for $374 including shipping new in the factory sealed box with full warranty.
