Tilted rc has them for 405 right now.
You might grab one for cheaper on ebay.

hey guys, I have a question, When I rev up my mach427 and let it go back to idle it stays reved up for about 2 seconds then goes back down to idle. Could it be that the low end is too rich? when I do the pinch test it takes the engine about 3-4 seconds to shut down.

take you carb off a clean it throughly, it could be sticking. Make sure the slide action is nice and smooth. Also make sure that the servo is pulling it nice and straight, in other words the arm is not at a severe angle when pulling it open or closing it.

a 2 stage idle will be pretty normal for a novice tuner....i would'nt worry about it too much.

i'll check the links and tune the low using the pinch test. I doubt it is sticking since its nice and smooth.

High idle after a highspeed run, is a sign of a lean highspeed needle, and sometimes normal.. or your carb is not shutting completly do you have a return spring or rubber band on the throttle>?

Yeah I have the stock return spring on the carb. I tuned it to the pinch test and it still does it. I'll check the carb once its hot to see if its smooth. If its normal then i'll just leave it like i have it tuned right now.

Hello guys, it’s been in the works for some time but it finally happened. I traded a HPI Savage for Losi 8ight buggy. He is not a buggy guy as I had to rebuild it in the spring so we just did the swap last night. As I was looking at it, it needs some work. So I need your help as to what to upgrade. The rear shock tower is bent so that needs to be replaced and I should replace the front also. I know they make after market parts but I have not look yet. I thought I would check with you guys since you will know what works and what does not. The engine is not staying with the buggy it’s going in the savage so anybody know of a good .21 to put in this. I am thinking OS engine. Money is not a problem as I want to rule the track in the spring. I have been using an old Ofna Ultra GT to race so this is a big step up. Thanks for your help.

Pro kit tower's will fix that problem......and looks like you need a rear shock shaft....as for a motor...depends on your budget and how much u really want to spend.

fix the 2.0 tray huh or do u mean the 1.0 ? the steering rack plastics and new alum servo saver would also be a wise idea as they have been redesigned as well.

Yes i mean the 1.0. I was thinking of waiting to see what parts will fit the org buggy when the 2.0 is out. I am not going to convert the buggy to the new 2.0 but if i need to replace a part and the new version fits i will use it.

ok here it goes......

i just did what you are doing not to long ago. i upgraded the shock towers, shock caps, front spindles, chassis braces(front and rear), kings head hingepin brace. and i have not broken one thing yet except my clutch witch i think i now fixed. but unless you have the money just fix whats wrong and replace parts later since u have to get a engine. i will provide links to all this at the bottom. as far as your shock towers. if you replace the rear with the upgraded one you should do the front at the same time. and the engine that i love and that is ran in prob 3/4th of the buggys at my track is the O.s. .21 Vspec.

Thanks for the info i will be replacing those parts. When I check one of the parts for Team Losi 8ight Aluminum Rear Chassis Brace: 8B/8T
[LOSA4417] It says not for the RTR buggy. I have the RTR buggy why wont it fit? Also is the shocks smaller on the buggy then the truggy.

No difference in the shocks from trug to bug....and imo the alum spindle's and chassy braces are Not needed.
