Just got my buggy running. The throttle linkage is hitting the body. Is this just a matter of adjustment? It seems as though the throw on the servo arm is too long. I have it to where the throttle is set good at the open and closed position of the carb.
Is there a need for a clearance hole in the body?
X1-CR Pro Kit
Thanks
Doug

It does the same thing on my Losi. I don't see a reason to cut a hole in the body its not a big deal. If you cut a hole in the body the linkage can possibly get caught on the body if it sticks out far enough.

Cut a hole, don't worry bout it getting caught cuz you'll make sure there's enough clearance for the linkage to move freely open and close position. Use a dremel rotary cutting tool. I've done it to my bodies and have had no problems in any I've done race so far. If you're worried bout dirt going in, just forget bout running it. Dirt is just the nature of this hobby.

I have the same problem with a 777 when I go full brake. I checked the linkage in every way and I'm getting perfect braking, but it still taps the body enough to create servo bind at the end of the brake EPA (those Pro-Line bodies are pretty tight).
I did the hole trick and its now fine, but I still wonder why I don't see these holes on pro buggies (like Pavidis using the same Pro-line body) and we have to do them...

Becuase as ive been trying to say. Obviosuly the linkage isnt supposed to be hitting the body, so instead of avoiding the problem, and cutting a hole in the body actually fix the problem.

Now if you try what I sugested it will lower the throttle rod thus sliding it UNDER the RHS of the body bulge and thus leave the bodyintact and the electrics less vulnerable to dirt, moisture and other debris.
