Default Loose surface track setup

I own a Hyper 7 pro powered by an RB WS7x2 engine. The track I race is smooth and at some places it has medium grip and at some other parts, especially at turns, entering and exiting, the surface is very loose and slippery and the traction is very low. The straight lines are occasionaly sprinkled with water before the race.
I raced for the first time couple of days ago and I had major problems with the handle of the car. It was oversteering on the exit of the turns, the turn radius of the car was wide on on power but also on off power, and I was loosing the rear of the car, going left and right, on high acceleration where the track has low traction surface.
The tires I used are the medial pro easy
caster 20 deg
2deg front toe out
2 deg front and rear camber
3-5-1 diff oil front to rear
45wt shock oil in the front 35wt in the rear

What setting should I change in order to make the car handle better on these conditions?
I read somewhere that less caster helps on sleepery low traction tracks, shall I use the 17deg hubs?
What tires are most suitable for these conditions?

These are some pics of the track

Nice track, but I see your problem straight away, your shocks are too stiff and the Toe out wont be doing you any favours either as it's limiting your steering.

I suggest you go for
Shocks 25wt front / 30 wt rear
Springs white
Diffs 10K/10K/1K
Camber F 0' / R +2'
Castor 17'
Toe F in 1'/ R in 1.5'
Wishbones level F/R
Turnbuckles in center inboard holes
Ditch the tyres for HoBao angle spikes (Or a soft spikey compund tyre)
Medium Firm foams
Shocks to top mid holes F/R

Then try itandif you don't feel good just adjust one thing between runs.

thanks, I will try this setup and see how it handles.
Which tires do you recomend:

Pro-Line Crime Fighter M2
Pro-Line Step Up M2
Panther Komodo Dragon 2 Med Soft
Panther Komodo Dragon 2 Med

Also what foams should I use medium or firm? These are the only ones I can find

Thanks

It looks like theres to much loose stuff for the crime fighters. The komodo dragon 2s work great on a wide variety of surfaces and they last longer then the crime fighters. The mediums should be fine in loose dirt but the harder it gets packed the softer you want the tire to be for more grip (in deep loose dirt the compound doesn't matter all that much so harder will just give you more life time). Its looks like everything but the jumps is packed about as hard as my local track and the komodo 2s work great.

After I bought my losi 8ight I tried out the stock losi step pins that came with it. Man those things give you loads of grip even in their hardest compound (silver) The step pins should dig into loose dirt/sand pretty well and maybe even better then the KD2s. They also seem to be lasting a pretty long time for tread life. If you can get them in your area I would try them out.

Softer foams will always give you more grip because it allows more tire to contact the ground. Of course to much grip will result in traction rolling so its trial and error. Also a hard foam might make the center of your tread wear out very fast. The panther and advantage racing foams have a very rounded profile which I don't like. The ofna molded foams are the ones I like most. The stock panther foams are good as well so just give them a try.

Check out the Ofna forums, there is a very very nice setup for "Loose" tracks. I am running it with only differences being shock and diff weights and it is just amazing.

My track is a loose sand but packed in some areas. In the corners it will wear down and you'll be able to see where the more experienced racers and sticking to the inside line.

I'm running Komodo Dragon 2s as well and they are awesome! I've found Medium-Soft to be perfect for grip and long lasting(about 5-6 race weekends?).
