Default NEWBIEEE

Yea so I am completely new to Nitro cars.
I was wondering if you guys can recommend me some cars.
(I know that has been asked like 1349139 times and I've read them ALL)
I want fast but I also want cheap.
Under $500 would be great.
Just a buggie I can take to the local park and race around there.
Basically to have fun around the neighborhood and my backyard.
Durable would be nice too.
Thanks for the input.

The sportwerks turmoil, mayhem and mayhem st are good fast rtr's out of the box. they will run you around 500 or so depending on where you get one. you can find one on ebay for around 400 thats already broke in and ready to go you might even get some hop ups included. you can also find them in the classifieds section on here for a good price.. the mayhem st is a monster truck but its still a good tough vehicle. the turmiol and st both come with an excellent radio reciever combo the spektrum dx 2. if you are going to get into nitro i would reccommend you get a used one off ebay or the classifieds section on rcu, that way you can start to play right out of the box. if you buy a brand new nitro vehicle you will have to break in the motor very carefully so it lasts you a long time. also the jato is a good beginner rtr as well and jato 2.5 will run you around 375, a jato 3.3 will run around 450 or so. my advice to you is not to order direct from hh due to the fact that you can get it cheaper if you go to your lhs or the classifieds section on rcu.

can you trust the ppl on these classifieds?
I know some ppl get scammed buying off of E-Bay.
Don't want to end up out of money.

The sportwerks turmiol is the best rtr vailable simply due to the spektrum radio. You cant go wrong spend a little more it will pay off in the end.

There are alot of great entry level buggies which is all you need if you are not going to race this. As stated earlier, paying a little more for better radio/reciever pays off down the road. DO NOT BUY USED!!!!!!!!!! The ONLY time you should buy used is if you are just getting a roller, or don't care if the engine/electronics are screwed up.

If you really don't care about the radio system, it is hard to beat the OFNA line. They are tough vehicles and are made for bashing. The Hyper 7 TQ RTR can be had for $299. That gives you money to buy some better tires, spares and fuel/plugs.

There is really alot to choose from right now. Just depends on what you want.

So i was looking in the reviews on this site and saw the XTM XT2.
That thing looks pretty sweet.
I searched up on google and found a company selling them for $299.
Is it a good car?

Hi

My friend and I bought our cars at the same time. Hyper 7 RTR for me and the XTM for him. He has had lots of problems with the shocks leaking/not working correctly + the bodyshell is a bit of a mare. I must admit my 7 has been pretty bullet proof except for driver induced damage!! although i have just bought my first proper car (losi cause it jumps well) the 7 is still my back up ride at the tracks.

LOL. well now I'm looking at the Redcat Racing Hurricane XP. So many decisions out there. It's pretty cheap and I hear its pretty durable. I need some opinions and your experiences to make my final decision.

the xt2 is great. its very durable and fast. the engine is easy to tune so its perfect for beginners. my other picks would be the turmoil, jammin, cen matrix, and the hyper 8
