ok i'm very interested in getting into nitro rc's but i have a few question.my first question is what does it cost in general to maintain say a buggy or stadium truck (as in like fuel cost, fixing broken part's that sort of thing)? second question i'm not shure if i want to get a 1/10 scale stadium truck or 1/8 scale buggy , what would you suggest ? and last what would be a good buggy or stadium truck to start with? i am 15 so i want something that's going to cost about $350 but is good quality and durability for a good price, and lots or replacement parts that are not hard to get. thanks

as four cost to maintain a buggy or truck really depends on you how hard you are on it and how much you run it i spend about $50-$75 a month and somtimes less and i would recommend a buggy they are alot tougher than a stadium truck pluse alot more people run them i would like at a matrix rtr or a hyper 7 they are your to best for the amount of money you won to spend.

As with any hobby, it can be expensive depending on how "hard core" you get into it. Nitro RC's are not a "cheap" hobby. The guarantee with RC's is you will break something. Generally, broken parts aren't that expensive but if you run into a tree at full speed, repair costs can get high. As far as having 350 bucks to buy a car, I would buy a 1/8 scale buggy like the Hyper 7 TQ Sport RTR. Parts are easy to get and they are a good quality buggy. 1/8 scale buggies tend to be easier to handle than a 1/10 scale. Just make sure you follow all break in procedures and you should be OK. Good luck

the hyper 7 is a good buggy but the hyper 8 is a better racer but if your going to bash i would just get the 7 and fuel about 25 a gallon for 20% and you get about 5-8 minutes a tank so you will probley use a gallona week and for parts a arms are the most you will need the hyper buggys are very tough you will just have to drive and figure out what you break.
