I tried to order form Project Zen, but their web site was not working properly.
yeh he's not much into working on his website (because he is to busy with orders and other things), so the best way to reach him is to email him.

Once again I went to Mark’s web site and did a check out other then pay and did not have a problem. Did not do the pay just to see if I could get that far.

Mark has someone that takes care of the web site and from what I understand might be changing administrators soon because of problems with the site. I go to his site at least twice a day to the forums and have not had the first problem. Like I said before could be security settings on your computer?

As far as selling STS engines is only a sideline for Mark and he has a full time job. He spends a big portion of his off hours boxing and shipping engines. But if you have a problem I agree send him an email.

Yes any one that thinks you can do it for a living is sadly mistaken. I emailed Mark and told him some are having problems with his web site.

Just talked to Mark and he did several transactions to check and did not have a problem with his site. I all so check again and no problem must be sums computer settings or there ISP?

When my engine gets here (21t MKII) what are some things i will want to do to it (check it over and such) and what is the prefered break in method for sts's, i know they take at least a gallon to liven up. Also what would be a suiting pipe, the sts pipes, jp, what?

I thought of another question. I plan on racing so should i use 30% or 20%.

They ship with a sheet that explains break-in. I went off of that sheet for the MKII and it has worked perfectly. I am running 20% through mine and have the STS .21 tuned pipe. This engine is scary fast.

Here is a FAQ link Mark from STSmicroengines.com sent me and is a good source for information as well for these engines:

STS pipe is best for STS engines, I know best but its a great pipe for STS engines, and JP-3 works pretty good, but the STS is just as good if not better and its alot cheaper.

As far as pipe it has to do with where you drive and what type of driving you do. So far with my STS D21B stock and STS D21B RBmods I have run both the STS 21 pipe and the stock Hyper 8 pipe and like both of them. I want to try a JP1 when the race budget will permit.

If you go to Marks web site STS Micro Engines http://stsmicroengines.com/index.php?main_page=index
there is a help forum on it and I just did a long reply about breaking in a new STS engine with other helpful hints. One thing is make sure you heat the engine up with a heat gun before you try to start it!!!! I all so recommend you seal the engine.

Since you have the STS D21T MKII you have two choices as it comes with both the standard and turbo plug head buttons. If you run the standard button run a standard long plug and not an OS as OS plugs are shorter then others. Now on the turbo does not matter as OS and other plugs when turbo are the same as far as I know. Right now only have one turbo plug engine an OS 18 TZ. For break in run a hot plug for the standard button McCoy 59 or Turbo OS P3 or P6. After break in has to do with what fuel you will be running but I would try a medium plug and see how it runs. You can try a hot plug and if you know what to keep your eye on it might be fine but to be on the safe side I would run a medium.

I hope to get a STS D21T MKII after this race session if not sooner.

Beats me the issues you all had with nitro country. Got my sts .21 t mkII ordered last friday and called via phone. Very nice people and very knowledgeable. I didnt have enough money at the time but they held the last one they had on hand for me with 20.00 deposit and paid the rest yesterday. Should be here tommarro via usp priority mail. Most of these places, and I've delt with many because there are no hobby shops within 100miles of me work better with a phone call. I know that in dealing with nirtohouse and a-main hobby that the phone worked better. They havea hard time keepingallthe products posted and up to date on thier websites. Meanwhile I look forward to breaking mine in this friday/saturday- have a race sunday and the dynamite .21 platinum died and early death in my hyper 8. Can't wait to see how it runs with my jp2 pipe. I've heard nothing but good things about these engines for the money- the .21t mkII cost me 178.00 which was less than the dynamite plat so we shall see.

PS: nitro contry told me that the sts team has a race out of country and wouldnt be shipping for a week while gone.

46u - You are right. The numbers I mentioned were from an eBay store called RC Mall. By the way - after opening it up the engine looked perfect - now I just need to break it in.

I understand your frustration! I sell some on ebay and normally ship with in 24 hours of getting payment unless buyer dicks me around paying then I figure there is no hurry. I all so have had MANY delays through the post office and try to use FedEx as much as possible as they are MUCH quicker! With the post office rate hikes most times cheaper as well!

sputnikxxx I am getting read to head up to Rodslinger for round 4 of the East Coast Nitro Series if you get a chance stop buy today or tomorrow. I will be spending the night at the track tonight. As soon as I post this I will be loading up.

seems like everyone that sells STS engines dose it as a part time job.

We don't move a large enough sum of engines to live on our own. Plus, with it as a side job, its extra income.

Does the D21B come shimmed for 30%? It looks like it has a .3 and .1 MM shim installed.

Thanks JB - I assume I would leave all of them in for 30%. Which one do I take out if I want to run 20%?

If I'm not mistaking you take out the thickest copper shim .2mm, and leave the alm .3mm and thin copper .1mm for a total of .4mm (again I'm not 100% sure but I'm 99% sure)
