Default pull start engine, starterbox & no pull start

well my pull start broke and i have an odd ball engine infinity .27. ordered new pull start and the one way bearing on mine is the wrong size.
i guess ill just take all of you guys advice and buy a box, my Q? is can i use a pullstart engine with the crank shaft sticking out the back on a starterbox. i conserned about air leaks and stuff.

any suggestions on a good cheap box?

i've had the same issue as you with the pullstart. several people on here suggested the ofna chrome top which is about 70 bucks plus shipping at the stores i've looked at but i ordered mine off ebay for 70 shipped. heres the links to the box's

12 volt battery, where do i get one? is it like a car battery?

i run one on my kart you can get them at interstate battery. there rectangle shaped i'd like to say they are about six inches long and like 3 and a half inches tall.

interstate battery is the only place i've ever bought one. if i remember correctly is about 25 dollars for one

go with the starter box listed above, and you can get one used with battery for around $50 - $70

and the battery is like a car battery, but smaller and its somthimes called a gel cell.

Put the backplate assembly back on regardless of whether the pullstart works and just pop on a starterbox. Should be sweet. By the way you should be able to get a 12V gell cell from your LHS.

I just got an OFNA chrome top starterbox for my Muggy from EBay, it came with an OFNA glow clip and Duratrax power panel...i only paid $60 for it too.
