RE: lookin for a motor...?
Why not just rebuild your RG 21? You could buy new piston, liner, and bearings for under a hundred bucks. While not the absolute fastest engine out there, it has a good low end and is just about the most "user friendly" engine around.

One thing is for sure the RG is one fine small track or technical track engine. Just wish the engine that took its place had an ABC sleeve. But there are many engines out there that have the same low end with much better top end.

Ehh I dont know, my novarossi seems to be built with far better quality then an STS .21T I had. Its also better on gas and way faster even in stock form.
You know why Racernine.com stopped selling engines? quality was slipping. [X(]
the VG and novarossi .21bf are cheaper for a couple of reasons. They have a more basic design. The VG has a full counterweight, basic porting, ABL sleeve, ect. Compare that to a v spec. your paying for the extra work[&:]

I agree with Jammin Jake, It's a great value motor. However, don't get the three port version from amainhobbies. Ask your local hobby shop about the six port version. It's the same price, but more powerful. I myself have a Novarossi BF 6 port and am very pleased with it.
Novarossi .21 bf

It's pretty new compared to the 3 port I think. If you really feel like looking, I think there's also there is a 7 port Nova version for around the same price, too. these engines are very difficult if not impossible to find online, so I would ask your local hobby shop (one that sells Novarossi engines). All I know is, I got my Novarossi R21BF2000 6 port (it has a blue head, by the way) from my favorite local hobby shop for about $180. Good luck with your searching[8D].

When I talked to Ryan there was a whole lot more to it then that. But whatever!
I do not have a problem with the 4 I have and some with over 5 gallons on them so I have to think some of the problem has to be user error. You know what I all ways say some can mess up and anvil with a rubber hammer.
Yes there are a lot of good engines out there and the only problem is I do not have enough money to buy one of each. [X(]

Picco P7 EVO 2... Jammin JPX .21.......... both are not hard to tune, and both motors are at the top of .21 performance...you wont find a faster more powerful .21 then these bad boys.... Thats if big power is your thing...

All I can say is 4 STS engines and no rod issues here matter of fact no real problems what so ever. But like I said some can mess up an anvil with a rubber hammer. [X(] Run what makes you happy I know I do.
