My 2400Mah NiMh receiver pack reads over 12V when charging. I tried 3 different chargers and they all read the same. My other packs read in the 7's when charging. It peaks after a few seconds or minutes and reads 7.3V when not on the charger, but it hardly has any charge on it. Is this pack toasted, orwhat could be causing this? Thanks

Yep,to me it sounds as though your pack is toast!
If it's reading a false peak on charge and then when not on charge it's low would seem to point to a tired cell/s!

OK, I ran the battery conditioner and memory eraser a couple of times and it is going down. Now it reads 9.4V, I guess I will cycle it a couple of more times and see if this brings it back. Am I doing this right? I have never had a receiver pack go bad before, but it has not been used in a while.

As i said before...invariably if your reading a false peak on charge that would seem to point to a faulty cell/cells....the cell (or cells) that are faulty are no longer giving any resistance to your readings....yes you could break the pack down and find the faulty cell but to be honest you'd be better off just buying a new pack! How old is the pack...how many cycles has it had is your main concern.

How do you know what rate he's charging at?
Maybe try re-reading his first post....where he talks about different chargers...and his other packs....oh and in his second post he says he's charging at 0.5 amps!

Yeah, but why would it read over 12V when charging at only .5 amps? I've never had one do that before?

That pack is toast. Get a new one.
