i have a problem starting my hyper 7 with my new engine. the starterbox i am using dynamite quick fire on 12volts and the problems is that the engine won't crank over.
The engine is so tight the even heating with blowdyer for minutes don't help. All that happen is the starter wheel rubs and is wearing away quickly. Is that starter boxes too weak
to crank over. Also I had to adjusted the switch all the way down so the wheel will touch. this is my first starter box

Suggestions:
1)take the glow plug out of the engine, add a little afterrun oil into the cylinder, then gently rotate the crankshaft by hand. DO NOT FORCE it. If it doesn't turn, heat it up, put on a glove and try again. At some point, unless it has internal problems, it should loosen up a little.
2)make sure the starter wheel is actually hitting the flywheel on the motor and not the chassis. (this should actually be #1)
3)put it back on the car. install the glow plug. move the cylinder to the bottom. heat it up. and try again with the starter box.

I have that same started box for my hyper 7, I had to take that front plate off since it holds the chassis of the buggy up to high, then I drilled holes in the strter box to mount the 2 post flush on the box so that they sit right up in the corner against the chassis and a-arms. I did have to lower the back like you said, but still wast enough untill I removed that front plate. Works great now. Here are some pics that might help make sense of what I said.
I took pics of the front 2 post and showed where they fit up against the buggy on both sides up front. Also took a pic of where I have the back post fitting into the rear a-arms. Hope this helps.
It didnt seem like it had enought power to turn over the used motor I had until I did this, now it turns it over with ease, turned over my new nova rossi with no problems during break in with two 7.2v batteries.

Make sure the starter box wheel is turning before it hits the flywheel. If it is on the flywheel before the wheel starts spinning it wont have enough torque to turn the motor over. Also turn the flywheel as far as you can with your fingers in the opposite direction that the starter box will turn it. It will give it a little momentum before the piston hits the top of the revolution.

No, once it's running you need to tighten it, unless you like playing hunt the plug. Your problem is that it's too fat on the low end, turn the LSNin 1/4 turn and try to start it without flooding the engine.
