Racer with a little tuning, mostly filling the diffs, you can get up quick. The stock engine has nice Great low end, and not bad high end. To get it up quicker you can also add a 12 tooth clutch bell, pipe that produces low end and you have a tuned buggy!
I run on a tight track so i need lots of low end.
yeah the 3rd channal has me confused too. I doubt the JR XR3i is cheaper than the XR2i.
thats whats in the storm the XR3i

WOW nice engine. Is that the one with 2.9 HP. God thats a lot of hp. I like you discised the pro as a rtr. So when you beat the K2's and other buggies. THey really feel bad! "I cant belive my 2000 dollar car got beat by a rtr, im going to go home and cry!!!"
Anyway i got my new pipe, its the ofna 063. Nice pipe. Is the pipe adjustable or anything like that where you can increase the low end more. I also dont have my car tuned right. My idiot freind started playing with the needle when we coulnt get it started. Once i get my new parts ill tune it so it FLIES!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys i need a paint idea, i got a new body and i dont know what to paint it. Somthing bright and has to have white.
On a Bashing note: Me and my friend were bashing at the park and he brang is 2 ramps and we but them togeather so we could get more air. So one person would hold one on top of the other, and i was ramping and my friend put the top ramp at like a 90 degree angle right when i was jumping. HOLY $#!+ i got about 40 feet of air. Strait UP!! ANd landed it!!! I really didnt break anything, except the little screw for the pin to hold the battery box closed.
CRAZY

the cool thing about either the xs3 or the xr3i is that you can use it for other cars/truck cause its a very good radio.
its prolly the best rtr radio you can get with a kit.

but even on a tmaxx, i see people taking out the reverse so the 3rd channel goes unused there too.

hey i got parts if you gusy need i ordered a 3rd kit

rcharry what did you pay for the clear body? they are friggan expensive. i paid like $35 from my lhs for it.
i ordered a PRO sticker kti about 3 weeks ago and it still hasnt showed up. anyone knwo where ones in-stock?

Yea, that a pricey little gem of a motor, I would love to have one though. The casting of the block, as well as the machine work of the head, is amazing.

Default Black Magic Break-In

Rossi did create a real beauty in the Black Magic.

The idea installing for this particular motor actually came from I8Tweety's (forum moderator) pics of his buggy. It has the high torque little brother the HPS-2000 (Gold Head).

When I could not find an HPS 2000 in the States, I settled on the Black Magic.

Everything I've read about this motor has been positive.
I hope I will be satisfied with it.

My LHS claims the motor is extremely difficult to tune...
(Maybe they're just jelous? or pissed I didn't buy an O.S. from them? or afraid they're gonna get beat on race day?) heh, heh.

Tweet, any problems tuning your HPS 2000?

If anyone has experience with this motor I'd love to hear about it.

I am currently running 3 HPS engines without issues. They require a little finer touch tuning than an OS does (OS has the best carb in the industry). Mine are as easy to tune as my RB engines and easier than my Picco (I'm starting to see where my money goes).

Default RTR Diffs

The RTR Storm DOES NOT HAVE OIL in the diffs. The diffs do however have grease in them from the factory.

Some would say that it is not a good idea, but I ran a gallon of fuel through my RTR before tearing down, inspecting, cleaning and rebuilding my diffs. I saw no damage from running the car this way.

I did replace the grease with oil on rebuild.
I recommend 5000, 7000, 1000 wt silicone diff oil & new gaskets.

Refer to this thread for more info as we have already discussed this issue...
