My vote goes for the Hyper 8.5. Strong, wide array of parts, and good quality. I have driven one and seen plenty of them run. You can get one off of eBay for about $416.50 shipped. Just add engine and electronics.

Good thought. But you will need an engine and electronics If you are gonna buy it via internet, do it. If you want to buy it in Cyprus, it will cost more, as usual. I'm glad that you start following the best way VICTORY sihpettos!!!

I dont think you could go wrong with either the Kyosho or the Losi both are very nice buggies.

Farfa, yeah, that is the one I am talking about.
I put up a link to the site on ultimatehobbies.com, but some reason it didn't come through on the forum. Wierd.
The only difference between the race roller and the kit is that the kit is not assembled. Same parts otherwise.
Ultimatehobbies.com still has them onsale.
Not sure what the shipping to Cyprus would be, but it still has to be lower than anywhere else. If things stay as planned, I hould be getting one from Ultimate next month (I just got my Spektrum DX3R that I am going to use in it. If you have more than one vehicle, Spektrum has a free reciever offer till April 30th, with purchase of a new radio system or reciever. Nice deal IMO).
As for wear issues, I have never heard of any kind of wear problems with the 8ight, unless somebody is talking abot the throttle/brake servo burning up, which is due to people not reading the instructions and setting it up right.
Great buggy, and you can't go wrong with that sale price right now.
Good luck on you descision!

Yep Hoboa that makes the Hyper 8.5 makes parts for Kyosho. My vote is the Hyper 8.5 and when it comes out the Hyper 9. I have both the Hyper 8 and 8.5 and have no complaints what so ever.

The Hyper 8.5 Pro kit comes with a pipe. I recommend trying it first. Servos steering at least 170 oz torque with a speed of .13 or faster.
