As some might know, i have been looking for a nitro 1/8 buggy to save for. i found this one that i think would be my best bet pricewise considering i will only have to buy fuel and a 1c batt (will my NiCd charger charge this batt?) because it comes with a 5-way cross wrench, hex wrench set, glow plug igniter, air filter oil, 250cc fuel bottle, and decals. is RD Logics a good company? would this be a good (somewhat cheap priced) first nitro? could i later set it up to race?
thanks,
rob

The RD logics is a re-badged Nanda swift. It is actually not too bad but spares can be a problem and with most low budget buggies some problems can arise. Do a search for SHO or swift on here and look at what owners have problems with.
I personaly would go for the Hyper 7 as its the same price, there are tons of spares and hop ups available, Millions of owners worldwide should you have any problems and they are absolutley bombproof (well as near as you can get anyway).

I wouldn''t leave out Ofna''s "budget" cars either... The Ofna Ultra LX1 is a great buggy for driven around and could get you on the track if you aren''t going to be doing so much of it (not to good of a racer)..

Searching would be a great idea to.. Or just LOOK on the first page. There is at least seven "What Buggy" threads with every thing you''ll need to now.

yeah but i want the price to be as cheap as possible because i also have to save for a real car at the end of this year. the ofna lx1 is 290, plus i need a glow starter, glow plug, after run oil, air filter oil, fuel bottle, and nitro fuel. that would be almost 400 dollars
whereas the raze is 300 and comes with a glow starter, glow plug, and fuel bottle. all i will need to buy is nitro fuel, and after run and air filter oil. also it comes with a dvd whitch i think would be good for me because i have never had a 1/8 scale or a nitro

The LX1 comes with:
Fuel Bottle
Glow Igniter
Glow Plug
It does not include after run oil ($2), air filter oil(It comes oiled but it's only $3-5) and fuel($10 a quart) but either does the Raze, so I have no idea what your talking about[&:] lol. The LX1 isn't going to cost any more than the Raze

All you will need is fuel and batteries: Take a look [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRSU8&P=ML]Ofna Ultra LX1[/link] Get what you want though.
I under stand that you still want to buy a full size car though... I am in the mist of finding a Dirt Bike and gear but all my money goes in this hobby[:@]

Nothing special: Just your basic 2-channel Am radio. It is basically [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXASX2**&P=ML]this[/link] with Ofna's name on it. (like most RTR's)
I am now using a JR XS3 though

Being you are new to RC, any buggy you are going to suck at. The driver makes the biggest difference. If I were you I would look into the higher end Ofna Buggies. Such as the Hyper 7 PBS any beyond, its a great buggy. Rock solid.
Don't get caught up in the stuff that comes with the buggy like glow starters and stuff. They are relatively cheap stuff and you will want to upgrade that stuff within a month anyways.
If you want a good deal check out ebay for used buggies.
Honestly I think if you buy a rock solid buggy now it saves in the long run. The first time you do cart wheels down your drive way at 30MPH you will know why.
Ive done that many of times with my H7 PBS, not a part broken. Could you do that with a lesser buggy? Who knows. You would end up with broken parts and replacement parts are sometimes steep.
Hope that helps. 1/8th buggies are FUN!

I am running a Axial engine and JR radio in mine but other than it is stock. Would make a much better racer than the Raze if you ask me. Any way I have said my part so good luck with what ever you get.
