Default which racing buggy?

I want to race, ive been racing my MMGT and well you cant race one of those
i was aginst jimmy Matsler(team x-ray driver) and well that wasnt fair, i drove hard and hoped it stuck but im at my trucks limit and crashed and snapped it in half (crappy truck if you re gonna really drive it)
im gonna fix it and sell it
i want a truggy or a buggy
He races for x-ray and said it is simply the best, i cant afford that he used to race for jammin and said they were really really good, epecially for an rtr(im only gonna have about 600 dollars) im stuck i think i want a jammin rtr, mabey buggy mabey truggy, ill put good servos in it and all but are there any other good vehicle out their, im not a noob im just lookin for other ppl''s advice
thanks

xander

i have heard that if you drive a losi hard, you''ll kill diffs

i just dont have the money for a pro kit
even if i did, what do i need beside engine, pipe, and radio(servos, and reciver)
i have all the tools needed but is there more?

You would need a starter box, because pro kits don''t use roto start. Sounds like your best bet is a Jammin CRT RTR. Then you won''t have to buy a starter box, just new servos.

the guy at my lhs said the Jammin are pretty good for a rtr and very upgradable. The only reason Im not completely sold is that I alslo hear that that model has been out for awhile and they may need to update it. Im in the same boat as you I want the rtr because I really dont want to spend 6 or 7 hundred on just a kit [X(] and put another maybe 500 in parts needed. Not yet anyway. Im not a complete noob but most people who buy those expensive kits already have engines and other gear laying around to just throw in. When I get to that point Ill be more likely to buy a kit until then Ill be looking at you thread and mine to see what people say is the best way to start off.

I would seriously consider the rc8 its a good buggy and the parts are affordable. http://www.ultimatehobbies.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=ASC80905!1007

well considering when i jumped my rc18 off of a bus (14 ft tall with ramp at full speed about 20 ft off the ground) and never broke one part and i only landed once
my savage never broke one part and if you could hit it i did hit it and hard
my xtm buggy never broke even after 3 gallons and 4 runaways into curbs, trees, mail boxes and houses
ive never had anything this fragile before

so what do yall think of the losi 8

They''re pretty nice as long as you don''t run them into rebar.
