Default RE: what engine do I have??

looks like a RexBR21SBk to me

scroll down its near the bottom on this page [link=http://cvrccc.esmartguy.com/Eng.html]HERE[/link]

Rex is just a rebranded Novarossi made by Novarossi but sold under the Rex name in some parts of the world due to contractual agreements
see also Top engines (same kinda deal)

the power output will depend if its a 3 or 5 port
see info for figures

Size .21 .21
HP 2.0 2.2 hp
Bore 16.66 mm 16.66 mm
Stroke 16 mm 16 mm
Ports 3 5
Weight 331/340 g 335/350 g
Crank SG SG
Contstruction ABC ABC
Displacement 3.49 cc 3.5 cc
Type Off-Road Off-Road

Description Older version had a green head but same specs. SBK Version: The intake chamber is small tank located inside the rear back cover. Linked by a silicone tube to the induction channel it gives a better fuel consumption.
you can also see the different novarossi engines on the main site [link=http://www.novarossi.com/content_uk/home/index.php]HERE[/link]

dude its basically a Novarossi
any Novarossi dealer should be able to help you out, failing that have a nose through the engine specs on the novarossi site & order a liner/piston from an engine that has the same bore & stroke

don't get a cheap one, you get what you pay for. I suggest a OFNA Chrome top or something like it. I have the 8ight bump box and it works just fine, but then again, i have an 8ight buggy

The top one. Blue on the bottom and Chrome on top. I have one and it improved my RC experience 1000 percent. Don't forget the gell cell and the charger. It's not the cheapest, but you'll spend more time driving and less time trying to start the engine.

Actually, you probably should forget the gell cell. Skip it, and opt for a pair of standard stick packs. Lighter, more powerful, and overall just better.

Stick packs only last for a few starts and then need recharged, a gel cell lasts an extremely long time.

Ok I think I will go with this one, does anyone know if a gell cell will fit in it or only stick packs?

i use stick packs in my Mugen box & it lasts ages between charges! i think i charge mine about every 3 meetings or so

i race abroad quite a bit & the restrictions on baggage weight rule out a 12v gel cell [:'(]
if i had a really heavy starterbox i'd have to leave something at home & when you're away you need as much stuff with you as possible

I have that box and if you really modified it, you could fit a 12v gell cell in it. But you would REALLY have to modify it, so I'd say no. Just because you would loose you option of running stick packs. Peace.

I use the OFNA truggy start box (10244) and two of [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_224/products_id/20993]these [/link]. The batteries are cheap, but they last quite a while and start my nova N21 no problem. I would wait until you have a bitt more $$ to spend, you'll be glad you did.

The Chrome top box is great, you won't be dissapointed. Starts my Mamba no probs. Mind you I use a gel cell cos they really do last a long time.
Never tried with stick packs.
