I think the RC8 is the lightest, may be the 808 now.

the D8 is 7.5lbs including batteries and I think fuel as well... but the lightest buggy should be the Hyper9 at 7.2 - 7.3lbs with all race wear like the D8 buggy...

Funny the Losi Eight RTR is 7.14 pounds.... I am sure this has to be with the engine and everything... I highly doubt they would weigh it with everything out. Here is the link... Check it out... http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSB0081 It doesnt give a weight for the race roller or the competition for some reason... but i would say that the Losi Eight is the lightest buggy on the market... Along with the 808... So it looks like 7.14 is lighter then the Hyper 9... An the Eight is a tank... Never breaks.. So it doesnt look like weight reflects much on durability as long as its weight is shedded in the right place...

im gonna call bs on that one lol

all these manufactures probably shaved some weight off when stating how much their buggys weigh. kinda like how engine manufactures always overstate hp
