RE: :: Official MBX5/Prospec Thread !!
I just got my mbx5 in yesterday, plan on changing out electronics tonight. I have been running and ofna mbxr2 and WOW there is no comparison. I sit in my den and just marveled at the engineering it took to create such a perfect well balanced machine. All parts feel so tight and precise. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I understand the two major competitors are the mugen and the kyosho, my buddy is getting one in on friday, I cant wait to compare them.

IT is a good machine, and they make so many aftermarket parts for it also! I've spent a good penny on mine so far! and it;s worth it! My track has it's first race this May 1st, so I'm really looking forward!

im looking at buying a entry level buggy to bash and to race with this summer. i was wondering if the two used buggies i found in the ads would be worth buying. what do you guys think? or should i just plan on buying the mayhem rtr or the hyper 7 pbs rtr. would the mugen be over my head for just starting out? how do the parts cost compare to the other buggies that i mentioned? ie- front arms, etc??? thanks...tim

RE: :: Official MBX5/Prospec Thread !!
anyone know if Mugen is planning on any new car?
have you guys ever tried to replace the pin on the ball head of the drivetrain of the CVD and how?
for MBX5, i thought below should be further improved
- side guard should be with 4 screws better than 3,
- stock with better bearing,
- 2 stages filter is better than stock

But you are right about the extra screws for the side guard!

What i would like for the side guards is a more stiff plastic mould so the not dosent always like spin and strip.
I've got some problems with the QC on some of the pasitic parts. . . . but i doubt it was a mfg error considereing what i was using it for.
Just a broken front lower arm and bent rear shock.
And yeh. . . . hate that throttle linkage thingy. . . . keeps on binding(brake drag []).
Is it normal for the radio tray the FLEX abit during extreem braking?

why you want more than 3 screw for each mudgaurd? i only use 2 to save weight and have no problem

Anyone know when the MBX-6 is coming out? I'm hesitant about the Prospec because I don't want an "obsolete" car so soon. Other cars like the S3, XB8, and 777 just came out so I see them lasting longer. The MBX is the grand-daddy.

True, but any car company is going to fix something to release a new model so they can increase sales.

I know what you mean by the bulging, I can see how dirt can get in there, maybe i'll put some silicon to keep it from bulging?
