Default matrix buggy questions

Hey guys. I just picked up a matrix buggy ($262 shipped on ebay brand new) and was just wondering what parts should i upgrade immediatly? I just do a bit of club racing and have an airtronics MX-3FHSS radio system so im good there.

Congrats on your Matrix and good radio by the way.

Assuming your buggy has the cross-pin upgrade in the diffs, the first thing I would upgrade is this

Then I would maybe get a set of CNC Aluminuim Steering knuckles

If you have anymore questions regarding your Matrix, feel free to pm me. Good luck

Yeah i have a set of the steering knuckles rolling around in my toolbox already because they are the same as my truggy knuckles. I am not sure if i will have the cross pin diffs on my buggy or not. I bought it from some guy on ebay who i think got it as a b day present or something and got frustrated when he couldnt get it to run. it said he took it to a hobby shop who broke it in and tuned it up but he never ran it. there is no wear on it whatsoever and the kid even had the body on it wrong in the ebay pix haha. How long ago did they go to the cross pin diffs???

I was watching that auction also but I didn't bid because of the wifey. I just bought another Cen Matrix TR Arena truggy so I didn't think he would be too happy if I bought another rig. After I rebuild my current TR Arena truggy I may be putting it up for sale just to make the wife happy (I spend way too much money on this hobby).

I think they went to the cross-pin diffs less a year ago. I'd say maybe 8 months but don't quote me on that.

Here are a couple of pictures of my buggy

I noticed the Buggy I bought has the nx .26 engine. Is it ok or should I go with something else as soon as possible?

I had a lot of problems with the NX-26 engine. I have heard of some people being able to tune and getting that engine to run good. I just wasn't one of them. If I were you and to save yourself a bunch of aggrevation, I would just get a new mill.

Done deal. I picked up a new novarossi 3 port .21 engine with a rotostarter backplate off ebay for $203 shipped. This thing should be amazing when I start running it.

You could probably sell that NX-26 on ebay and get maybe $50.00 for it. I should mine after I broke it in a nd couldn't get it to tune. I got about $50.00 after all the ebay and PayPal fees. Good luck with you new Matrix and have fun.
