Default Converting to non-pull start

I have a Mach .28 on my hyper which has a pull start which broke a while back. since then I've been using a starter box which is probably the best investment I've made in this hobby.
I was wondering what parts I would have to buy to convert it to non-pull start. I was wondering if this would do the trick.

awesum cheers mate...at the moment its still running with a pullstart cover on...which adds drag and gets in the way of the manifold.

Are you sure you will not have to either replace the crank or cut the crank you have?

nah i just cracked my mach .28 open. the pullstart has an insert that comes out of the centre of the crank leaving a hollow pin with the con rod on it, but nothing sits proud of the con rod.

Good thinking though 46u.

Some engines have a different crank for pull start version plain back is why I asked. Most times if it does you can cut the crank. But glade in this case he will not need to do anything.

How much of a negative effect do pull-starts actually have on performance? Is it a noticeable amount, or so minor that it is only worth it for serious racers?

I have a hyper tq rtr that is a pull start and one day i was a track in slough and they saw i was having trouble starting my car and a shop called hc models made me a costom starter box to fit my car and it still has the pull start on it. What im trying to say is maybe it might be cheaper just to get a starter box

You most not have read his post as he says he has and uses a starter box![X(] The problem with keeping the pull starter is you have drag from the one way bearing as well as a bigger chance of an air leak and fuel all ways leaking out the back.
