I think you can't go wrong with either one. 8IGHT has a Spektrum radio which is a plus. If you are in the market, I would also look at the upcoming X2CR RTR. That thing looks like a killer out of the box.

what can you get parts for easily is what you should be asking yourself....if you can get both...then its a Roll the dice situation...although the X1X is an Older design and is a little outdates which is why the X2 buggy is commin out....there is also the Losi 8 2.0

man that x2cr looks very nice! but it sounds like hes going economical for a complete package. in that case both would be durable brand new out of the box. I would deffinately be sure the parts avaliability for both to help in my decision. although if buying brand new and from experience the 8ight rtr new will last about 2 gallons before you need any maintnance. with the jammin im not sure but between your 2 choices rtr, the 8ight i would consider to be proven better. what are your uses for the new buggy?

Durability wise the Jammin is far better than the Losi, thats why so many use the Jammin as a basher, the Losi would be destroyed if used as a bashing buggy. As a racer the Losi is in a league of its own but others are hot on its tail....

i have an 8ight rtr thats completely up-graded to pro version and all i do is bash. only thing thats gone wrong is a broken front shock tower due to the fact i drove sraight into my sisters suv and a busted hinge pin from coming down crooked on a on-road jump. my 8ight isnt destroyed either, in fact i was happy to up-grade to carbon fiber towers and lunsford TiNi hinge pins. so that guy dont know what hes talking about, no offence.

imo racing is more abusive on the vehicle then bashing...especially in the hands on a novice.

well it is to an extent.
When you run the car under a 1:1 scale at 45 mph you wont really be doing that on a closed track.
