To all 4PK owners, i want to ask something. I ordered my 4PK and i hope have it this January. So, is there something that i must know before and while using the 4PK? I want to tell me everything.

DONT RUN hrs on Non digital servo's....ive seen it ALL too many times with my buddy's who dont have A CLUE about the 300$ radio they rock....and ive caught a few of them in HRS when they should NOT be.

Yeah, i read that somewhere. And if you are using normal servos you must set your radio to PCM (i think), right?

FASST receivers have a tendency to loose lock when they get hot.
Futaba now finally states that they work up to 50C (122F).

Get a 3PKS + Spektrum instead.

I remember Renauld Savoya's buggy at the Euros had holes drilled all over his radio box and his body because of heat issues with the receiver. I figured they had addressed that problem by now.

it appears there's more to the story then just this.......and keep in mind this is for a 14 channel Air receiver...not a 3 surface receiver.

"Product Advisory — R6014FS Receiver

Whereas many previous receivers offered a signal output of 3.0 Volts, the latest generation of ICs has been designed to operate at lower voltages in order to increase their operational speeds. The R6014FS receiver utilizes such an IC and, as such, the nominal signal output voltage of the R6014FS receiver is 2.7 Volts.


While this variance in the output voltage will not affect most equipment in use today, it has been brought to our attention that some manufacturers’ products are not capable of operation with the lower signal voltage. That is, they will not operate below 3.0 Volts. Some examples of what we have had reported thus far include
sequencers, cut-off valves, older servo designs and some recent non-Futaba digital servos.

they might not appear to initially. One such device functions perfectly on the ground and during a range check, yet when the operational temperature reaches 50°C (122°F), the device actually requires 2.8 Volts in order to function properly. As such, the servos will cease to operate properly.


Many manufacturers are updating or refining their products to ensure compatibility with the lower operational voltages. If you have any questions about the operation of such peripheral items we strongly suggest that you contact the manufacturer directly.


If you have already purchased items which can not operate below 3.0 Volts, we suggest that you either replace the item with an updated version or utilize a device to increase the voltage accordingly. There are a number of readily available devices that may be used to increase the voltage such as ElectroDynamics products, Smart-Fly’s Power Expander and Powersystem, etc.

No, nothing special. Just get it charge and play with all the menus. Get them setup the way you want. There a "switch function" in the menus that let you assign a "idle up" , "ABS" and other funstion to mutiple switches on the controller for direct access. The Idle up function is great. Hands down you'll be very happy with the purchase. I'm gald I had this since they came out. The price is scary but you get every dime out of it. And I've never seen a 4pk sold for under $340 so you'll get some of your money back when you decide to every get rid of it.
