Default K&N filters over stock foam?

While looking for spare parts to go into my parts box, i came across a K&N filter for a RC engine. This kind of surprised me for i know they made filters for almost everything, but not <10cc engines. Now, i have never had a problem with my foam filters besides having to replace them every once in a while when they get REALLY bad. Has anyone seen one of these being used or use one themselves? I have always sworn by K&N filters for my Porsche and my Subaru, so i wouldn't think it would let me down except for adjustments to the carb due to a cross weave pattern filter compared to foam. So again, has anyone had experience with K&N filters on their RC engines?

Don't use them. They are heavy and do not filter anywhere near enough crap for these little buggy engines.

I know that they can be a little heavy, especially for a buggy, but not filtering? that doesnt sound like a K&N filter. But then again the larger the engine, the more 'dirty air' it can handle. anyone else have a problem with them?
