HOW DO I CLEAN MY CAR??
Ok....super noob here to R/C cars. I just aquired a Kyosho MP7.5 Inferno.
It has sat for about a year or two. It's pretty dirty, looks like it was run through
mud the last time it was run. It's not a crazy amount, but it's definately caked
on there.
How should I clean this? Should I just take the whole thing apart, clean each piece
by hand, and re-assamble? Or is there a quicker, easier way to do it?
Thanks in advance!

RE: HOW DO I CLEAN MY CAR??
Probly the easiest way to clean a buggy i have found is to get an old toothbrush and some WD-40 and spray some on the brush and scrub the mud off like that. WD-40 is the best stuff for rc as it cant hurt the plastic at all and if you use WD-40 to clean the first time it is easier to clean the second time around because nothing (dust, mud, water etc) can addhere to it.
hope this answers your question.

Take off the engine and radio compornents, gas tank and exhaust pipe and spray the whole thing down with one of those presurre guns used for cleaning real cars. Then spray wd 40 all over it especially where there are ball bearings, the put back together. Good as new!

wd40 on bearing locations, with electronics out spray with simple green and pressure wash then compressed air thoroughly. when done wd40 once again. Or the best way is to tear down into managable pieces(clean under sink with brush) and then rebuild. takes about 5or6hours but then you know for sure its getting done properly with no problems

You can also get Electric motor cleaner spray from your LHS to get any goo off the engine, but like others have posted a toothbrush and some elbow grease is the best method. An air compressor works great in these areas. I've found my new 18v leaf blower works terrific on blowing trash out as well.

RE: HOW DO I CLEAN MY CAR??
Well I only Run my buggy at the track, so when im done for the day I take out the radio tray and engine, then i soak my buggy in Simple Green for about 15min then use the toothbrush. After that i use a water hose with high pressure attachment to spray it down, then spay WD40 on all bearings pretty much everywhere then use the Air Gun to blow away eccessive residue.. After that she smells good and have a Deep black shine to the plastic parts..Works Nice for me...

I do about the same, except I use Mean Green from the Dollar Store, wash in the sink and blow dry with compressed air.
After a while the WD-40 will start to do strange things to your stuff........
Silicone spray-lube works better, IMO, but I don't use it that often.

i do:
radio, motor/pipe out. charge lipo/hump
light spray with water (pinch hose with finger)
foam up with simple green top and bottom
go clean tires, light simplegreen and toothbrush motor (every other wash i clean air filter)
re soak with simple green
compress motor and rinse tires
light spray agin with water whole car, then blow with yard blower and ten air compressor.
with rag apply coat of wd-40 to all plastics and turn buckles and spray bearings
air compress car
re-assemnble, battery should be charged
takes less than 20 minutes and easily done before a main.
