hyper spider diff
I would like to know more about this so i have knowledge about the diff. I know...RTFM, but the manual is 5000 miles away and there seems to be not a single down loadable one anywhere on the internet for the 8.5 pro. Can anyone help me out, that way i know what is going on with it and what spare parts i will need to rebuild it so i can start collecting them for my parts box

I have two hypers...one has a spider the other a "regular" diff. I honestly can't tell any difference in performance. Neither one has ever broken or worn out. As far as spare parts, I guess you should have extra bearings and rubber seals. That's it. On the spider, I run a lighter weight fluid, since it has more gears. My set-ups are 5-5-3 (spider) and 5-7-3 (conventional).

On Hobao racing site they have the download for the Hyper 8 which is real close to the 8.5. I have both the Hyper 8 and 8.5 Pro. If the Hyper 9 was not so over priced I would get one of them.
